Purified Influenza B virus strain B/Florida/4/2006 is propagated in SPF chicken embryonated eggs. The virus was isolated from a human patient in 2006 and was deposited by the Florida Department of Health and purified by sucrose gradient centrifugation. It has applications in respiratory disease research, in vitro infectivity assays, antiviral studies, spiking studies, and a variety of other research.
